Summer Camp
Troop 628 attends Camp Rodney in North East, MD.
*** Check the troop calendar for summer camp dates ***
Our first year Scouts will take part in the Brown Sea program, which helps them works on many of the rank requirements from Tenderfoot to First Class.
Returning scouts will choose from a variety of Merit Badge and COPE programs. (See the file below.)
Our Troop strongly encourages our Scouts to attend this traditional summertime Troop event – a great opportunity for advancement too!
Cost
Summer camp is $315 per scout, when paid in full by May 1st.
A $60 Summer Camp deposit for all scouts is due March 26. (So we can send it in by the early-bird discount of April 1st)
The $255 balance is due April 23. (So we can send it in by the early-bird special of May 1st; otherwise camp is $340 in total.)
Scouts can earn their fee for Summer Camp through spring fundraising activities (sell mulch and donuts).
ASMs going to camp pay a much smaller fee, to be determined. (ASMs in excess of the free leaders are $115) There is no deposit required for the ASMs.
